The Postcard Accumulator Act I, Scene I.

 

This blog is intended as an accompaniment to my newsletter "THE ACCUMULATOR". 

These are images of postcards that aren't well served by the inkjet reproduction used in the newsletter. My current thought is that this will include the color versions of the postcards shown in the newsletter as well as others that simply cannot tolerate the inkjet reproduction in any way.

In the most recent issue (Volume 1, Number 4) I mention the restaurant below. You can now understand why I didn't even BOTHER including the  grayscale image in that issue.


This is the fabulous Martinique Restaurant & Drury Lane Theatre, Chicago. According to the Chicago Tribune, it was leveled in the early part of the century to make room for...a Walmart. The postcard refers to this room as "America's Most Beautiful Theatre Restaurant".
